I started the new year in a stunning place: Yosemite National Park. This is the first time I have traveled somewhere distant at the very beginning of the year. I'm really glad that I did. Up in the park I had little to no internet access and I must say it was quite refreshing. It is truly amazing to immerse yourself in nature and simply awe at its organic beauty. For the several days I was there, I felt like I was in a completely different world made up of towering mountains, waterfalls, and trees. If you ever have the time to go I strongly recommend it!
Yosemite is every photographer's dream. You can point your camera in just about any direction and there is always something interesting in your lens. This was my first time visiting the park in the Winter. While I didn't see an overwhelming amount of wildlife, I was still lucky enough to run into some animals. I also explored Half Dome Village (formerly Camp Curry) and The Majestic Yosemite Hotel (formerly the Ahwahnee Hotel). You will soon find that most of my shots consist of tiny details and the gorgeous landscapes which I could not stop taking pictures of... So without further ado, I am super excited to share some tidbits of this trip with you!
